​Design

From the signature floating roofline to the daring LED headlights*, Micra combines city car practicality with bold, fearless design and impeccable attention to detail.

From any angle, the Micra impresses, thanks to its sporty design cues that include an attractive character line that runs along the vehicle’s flanks. Expansive wheel arches help give the car its subtly muscular look – while inconspicuous A, B and C pillars provide the Micra with its ‘floating roof’ appearance. A five-door body allows easy access for rear-row passengers, and there’s room inside for five, especially since this fifth-generation model is larger than ever. An expansive front windscreen provides the driver with good forward visibility too. A 300-litre boot is bigger than can be found in, say, the Ford Fiesta or Volkswagen Polo. With rear seats reclined, cargo capacity increases to a very decent 956 litres.   

​Performance

A 1-litre petrol engine comes as standard with entry-level Visia trim lines. This 90bhp unit manages as much as 53.3mpg and produces CO2 emissions from 120g/km. It takes approximately 11.8 seconds from 0-62mph with a max speed of 111mph.

Technology and safety

A two-speaker stereo system, AUX and USB inputs and Bluetooth connectivity are included as standard. Top-tier Tekna trims come with 4 Bose speakers, and NissanConnect, which also includes navigation functionality. All models are fitted with six airbags, front seatbelt pre-tensioners and load-limiters, and ISOFIX child-seat anchor points. A range of driver aids feature, such as Electronic Stability Programme and Tyre Pressure Monitor System, which continuously evaluates tyre pressure, alerting the driver of any significant deviation.
