A painless and very well looked after experience from start to finish, nothing was ever too much trouble and communication was fantastic throughout! The first dealership I have visited that couldn’t be more accommodating and the only dealership that I will ever use going forward for car purchasing, servicing and MOT’s. I came into EMG when I got a message on my dashboard that there was insufficient oil in my engine. Luckily I live down the road from their site and when I came in asking for guidance, the team were exceptionally helpful. The gentleman I spoke to reassured me that their team would be able to top up the oil so I could use my car again and kindly found the time to do so before I needed to drive later that day. I had also previously popped in to ask for help when my partner's wing mirror was smashed and again their advice was very much appreciated. Customer service is second to none!

What a great company they went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. I part exchanged my vehicle and was given a more than fair price, nothing was to much trouble. Salesmen tom and paul were great. Not only was it my birthday when we collected our new vehicle my daughter went into labour the same day and paul kindly brougt her a gift for new baby and chocolates for myself, never have we been treated like this from a car company. EMG fitted a new cam belt and water pump as the mileage on the car dictated it was due to be done. The experience was friendly and professional from first to last. They collected my car from cambridge and completed the work the same day and delivered it back the next day. They even found time to give it a wash. Overall a very good experience

Part exchanged my car for a Honda Jazz. I dealt with Paul Rae and also had a phone call to Andy to leave a returnable deposit. Both were very professional. On arriving at Bury St Edmunds, Paul talked me through the transaction and then took me for a test drive. At all times he was professional and knowledgeable. Very positive experience. I had a problem with a car I had only just bought from a different branch. EMG in Bury St Edmunds were very helpful over the phone fitted my car in for the next morning even though they were busy. I was very happy with the customer care I received, I was kept informed at every stage. My car was thoroughly checked over and fixed. Chris in particular was very helpful and professional.

Saw car on Autotrader website, went to look, very pleased that the salesman (Paul) wasn't pushy, he was very friendly, was an easy sales process and ge explained everything. Small fault came up on car, which is being covered under the warranty. Paul called me a few days after I picked up the car to make sure everything was OK, which he said he would, and is a nice touch, reassuring that they care.

Excellent service as always with emg BstE. Unexpectedly had to bring my car in last week without an appointment as was only 5 min away when problem occurred. I brought my car about a year ago from somewhere else and I was having trouble with my keys, so after a couple of weeks I took my car to EMG. I saw Dave and he tested my keys on a battery tester, and told me which batteries I needed and to come back and he would put the new ones in for me, which was very kind of him. I decided then to use this company again and a year later i booked my car in for a convenience check and a mot. Chris and Danny were very helpful. Danny gave me a very nice courtesy call and Chris sorted out a service plan for me. Convenience check and MOT were done yesterday 17/02/2025 within 4hrs I was able to collect my car. Well done guys brilliant service.

If I could leave a higher review I would. I purchased my car just over a week ago, and I could not be happier. After some ongoing issues with my previous car, my dad recommended I visited EMG, as they had a great experience, even over 10years ago. We visited late on a Sunday, and was greeted by Andy- who stayed late, just to talk through my requirements of a new car. We exchanged details- it was only then I realised Andy was the GM. I completed some additional work on my previous car, but realised long term it would not be suitable for me. So I reached out to Andy via email, he was so responsive, and said he would keep a look out for things within my budget, what a service! A few days passed, and Andy said he had a car perfect for me, but I would have to await its arrival. I believe this is above and beyond, in actually sourcing me a vehicle. I of course trusted Andy, and waited. I received an update that it was ready to be viewed. Upon viewing, it was the one. Lovely trainee Tom was tasked with sorting the test drive and off we went- Perfect! Tom completed the transaction with me and he was so thorough, not pushy and really cared about getting it right, and he did! When it came to collection, Tom went through the final details, he was so calm and confident, exactly what you need when buying a new car. Toms customer service was outstanding, he walked me to my new car, showed me the extra details, and ensured I was comfy and safe with my lights on, before I set off in the dark alone. I could not recommend the service I received enough, I have told so many people! Andy and Tom, thank you so much for taking all the stress and anxiety out of purchasing a car! My partner and I went into EMG Bury St Edmunds to investigate hybrid cars with a view to purchase. Sat down with Craig and we talked about our needs, with no pressure. Craig was extremely helpful and informative, EMG had a wide range of cars, in the end we went for an electric only option. The car was valeted and prepared for us in days. Finance sorted with a really good deal. Suffice to say, we have had the car for a number of weeks and are so pleased with our purchase. I initially purchased a Toyota Aygo. Unfortunately it appeared immediately to have an electrical fault. Despite investigation, the fault needed manufacturer intervention. Salesman Andy Trott fully understood that it was not acceptable so offered me a full unconditional refund. They had another vehicle a Ka which I then purchased. I would recommend Andy Trott, he is genuinely interested in seeing you are happy with your purchase

After purchasing a 2019 Qashqai in July 2024, despite all efforts, it had a fault which the team could not rectify. The sales team put right all snagging issues with the vehicle but still 'system fault' would not disappear from console. After 5 months we thought about replacing the car with another Qashqai but were disappointed when they mentioned 5 months depreciation to be taken into account when choosing another car! However, after having the car for a month (admittedly we were given a courtesy car) the service team were stellar; we collected the car today and gave them our thanks, telling them that our poor impression was improved by these fellows in the Service Dept.

We were looking for a new car and a search on AutoTrader led us to call EMG Bury St.E. to express our interest. The service we received, both over the phone and later in person was second to none. Andy and Richard were very helpful and honest. Within 8 hours we spoke on the phone, called into the shop to look and test-drive the car, agreed to buy it, and drove it away! Thank you EMG for your great service. Terry, our car salesperson was very friendly, polite and patiently explained everything. He wasn’t pushy, I didn’t feel pressured. I was converting to an automatic so a bit nervous, and on my test drive Terry taught me even how I had to drive the car. Not sure he’s supposed to be given driving lessons as well 😉. All in all a pleasant experience and I wouldn’t hesitate in buying a car again in the future.

I stopped at the Duxford dealer, and they didn't have what I was looking for, so Paul found the exact car I wanted in Bury; we drove straight to the EMG in Bury and, the next day, bought the car. I purchased a Skoda Yeti from this garage in June 2023. I received excellent service from them. Terry Cranfield was helpful, informative and accommodating. He helped me through the stressful process of purchasing the car. Buying a new car is not easy and Terry gave me confidence in the fact that I was making the right decision. Writing the review after 6+ month after purchasing Peugeot 3008 from EMG. I am completely pleased with the car and especially with the service. Great service by the After Sales manager Sean. I noticed some noise and smoke coming from my engine and although their workshop was booked up for 2 weeks Sean took the time on a Saturday to put the car on the bridge and diagnose it (leak in one of the injectors). Despite the fact that I am not a customer of theirs and had no time to wait 2 weeks for a repair with them they did not charge me.

My husband and I had been talking about buying a new car for a few years now and popped to have a quick look to see what was on offer. Craig Woodward came and had a chat with us and we told him what we had in mind (initially a Kuga), we realised that a Kuga was too small for our dogs when looking round but Craig pointed out a vehicle he thought would be a good match for us and it is above and beyond what we hoped for. I cannot thank Craig enough for being as helpful and really listening to what we wanted and would certainly recommend EMG to anyone, it was such a smooth easy customer experience. We have an amazing car, great warranty and MOT package and to top it all off our dogs are riding in comfort.

Me and my husband had been out for the morning one Saturday a few weeks ago then ended up in Bury St Edmund's and came apon emg so we decided to have a look ,there was a car we liked and will dodkin came out showed us round the very helpful, friendly we went away really liked it as we were both working it did get sold saw another car on the website but it got sold but we went over and will had 2 cars for us he showed us a Volvo it was awesome especially the boot size as I'm a housekeeper as we wanted my dad to look at it on the Sunday will opened up a little bit early on the Sunday for us all through the week will either was emailing or phoning going through everything on the day of buying the car was so helpful made sure we were getting the best deal and we picked the car up amazing experience delt with all paperwork explained everything with some laughter thrown in I would highly recommend if anyone is thinking of buying a car EMG Bury St Edmund's is the place to go and Will Dodkin is the man to see awesome thank you so much made our car experience EPIC

Recently bought a Mazda 3 from Will at EMG Bury. From start to finish (and beyond) the service we received was fantastic. Will got us the best deal, better than we thought we would get prior to buying. The aftercare has also been great, had a minor scrape on one of the alloys, for which Will was amazing in finding a quality alloy repair company at a cheap price. Can't rate them highly enough, will definitely use EMG Bury again for future car purchases!

Recently we bought our first car at EMG Bury St Edmunds. As when buying anything for the first time, one is always cautious because of not having the experience with the item. However, we were assisted by a wonderful James Osborne, from the first enquiry to the day we collected our car. James was professional throughout and addressed all our concerns without bias:).

For a franchised dealership the guys here made a refreshing change from past experiences, with thanks to James who from the initial visit and the subsequent visits, test drive, my many emails and phone calls made no pressure to buy, he answered any and all questions making the whole transaction a pleasant one, also thanks to trainee salesperson Josh who stepped in on handover day to finish of the top notch service. These guys will be high on my list for my next vehicle change.

Ok for getting the mot done. Nil customer service we waited for the test to be done no friendly chat not told about drinks etc available TV stuck on short video of tennis going round and round no remote! Didn't return my call to discuss something that came up concerning the test until the next day. Will stick to Cambridge counterparts from now on.

Have just bought a Fiesta from the EMG garage in Bury St Edmunds and I can’t praise the team ( Sean ) highly enough. No pushy sales talk just made us feel comfortable and welcome. Communicated immediately to our initial email enquiry and we drove to see the car on the strength of this ( 67 miles ) despite a similar vehicle available within 2 miles but the Garage ( Evans - Halshaw in Milton Keynes ) didn’t bother to respond. Car was exactly as stated in advert and was offered a fair price on our part exchange Mini ( already knew what it would be give or take ) so a deal was quickly agreed and we picked up the car the following weekend . My partner has been looking for a Fiesta for several months and is knocked out by her new car. Will certainly return if we are looking again in the future.
