Service Advisor

Location: Spalding

We are looking for a Service Advisor to join our team at EMG Used Cars Spalding.

EMG Spalding is part of Grainger Motor Group, one of the fastest growing, family run dealership groups in the UK. It is a destination for quality used vehicles and authorised Ford repairs. Our goal is to deliver exceptional customer service through our highly trained, competent staff, who care about our customers for life.

Responsibilities

  • Independently manage tasks whilst keeping a customer-centric approach, ensuring all interactions and services enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Efficiently create job cards and compile detailed invoices for all works carried out, guaranteeing transparency and accuracy in billing.
  • Collaborate closely with the workshop controller, parts department, and service manager to coordinate and deliver top-quality service experiences for our customers.
  • Meticulously record vehicle information, service history, and manage service requests through the 1 Link platforms, ensuring all data is up-to-date and accurately maintained.
  • Actively liaise with leasing companies and retail customers to obtain approval on work, demonstrating excellent negotiation and communication skills to facilitate smooth service delivery.
  • Employ a proactive approach in identifying up-selling opportunities to benefit profitability of the department.
  • Identify potential issues or opportunities for service improvement, contributing to the continuous enhancement of our service standards.


To Be Successful, You Will Need:

  • Proven IT competency, with the ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and systems.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and service delivery, anticipating customer needs and exceeding expectations.
  • Strong customer service orientation, with previous experience in a service-focused role, demonstrating the ability to build and maintain positive relationships.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organisation, and with external stakeholders.
  • Previous experience in a similar role, showcasing your ability to work independently, using your initiative, delivering first class customer service, and identifying up-selling opportunities.
  • A self-motivated, positive attitude and the resilience to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Full UK Driving License
